Missouri Encyclopedia The online Missouri Encyclopedia, a project of the State Historical Society of Missouri, will provide users easy access to authoritative information on the history and culture of Missouri. As an online resource, the Missouri Encyclopedia will be available to users throughout Missouri and far beyond the state’s borders. It will provide a comprehensive treatment of the state, while taking into account unique and distinctive aspects of local community life across Missouri’s tremendous regional diversity in geography, environment, cultural heritage, and social customs. To be comprehensive, the editorial team needs your help. Who are the people and what are the places and events that shaped your community, your county, and your region?

Ray-Opoly Board Game is available for pre-order. $30 per game! Local businesses purchased spaces on the game, so when you play with your family, you will be visiting local establishments instead of the traditional Opoly game you are used to!

Ray County Time Capsule is being assembled. Community leaders from all areas in Ray County have been contacted by the Committee Chair, Hal Middleton, requesting that your community submit photos and stories of influential people from your region of Ray County. Thank you for participating and helping to provide a look into the importance of people to Ray County in 2020!
A Year in the Life of My Business will be a collection of stories about local businesses, the times they endured and the impacts they made on Ray Countians’! We encourage EVERY business, EVERY civic organization, EVERY charity in Ray County to submit your story!

Bicentennial Penny Drive will be held during the year, 2021 by Ray County students. The pennies collected will be donated to the Missouri State Historical Society for use to conserve precious documents in our state archives. There will be school and classroom competitions during the drive! Please support your elementary aged school children when they come home excited, talking about raising money for the state!
Missouri Pass Port Everyone is going to be looking for the Ray County stamp for their Missouri Passport in 2021! Get your official passport from the state of Missouri, look back here for places in each community to get yours stamped, and go for a Ray-cation! More sites to some!
