Quilt blocks<\/strong><\/em><\/span> were created and sent to the State of Missouri. One block from each County was chosen to be on the State Bicentennial Quilt. Ray County had the MOST quilt square submissions! Click here to email Cathy now!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n MY Missouri 2021<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/em> was a photo contest held by the Missouri 2021 Bicentennial Committee in 2019.\u00a0 Ray County was beautifully represented by several area photographers.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n Missouri Encyclopedia<\/span><\/strong> <\/em><\/span><\/a>The online Missouri Encyclopedia, a project of the State Historical Society of Missouri, will provide users easy access to authoritative information on the history and culture of Missouri. As an online resource, the Missouri Encyclopedia will be available to users throughout Missouri and far beyond the state\u2019s borders. It will provide a comprehensive treatment of the state, while taking into account unique and distinctive aspects of local community life across Missouri\u2019s tremendous regional diversity in geography, environment, cultural heritage, and social customs.\u00a0\u00a0To be comprehensive, the editorial team needs your help. Who are the people and what are the places and events that shaped your community, your county, and your region? \u00a0<\/p>\n Ray County Bicentennial Cook Book<\/strong><\/span><\/em> is being created as we speak! Do you have a long standing family recipe? Or maybe a new recipe that should be preserved for the ages?\u00a0 Do you have Depression Era recipes that your grandmother used to make soaps for your family?\u00a0 This is what we are looking for!\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Ray County Bicentennial Cook Book PDF<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Ray-Opoly Board Game<\/strong><\/span><\/em> is available for pre-order.\u00a0 $30 per game!\u00a0 Local businesses purchased spaces on the game, so when you play with your family, you will be visiting local establishments instead of the traditional Opoly game you are used to!\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n Ray County Time Capsule<\/strong><\/em> is being assembled.\u00a0 Community leaders from all areas in Ray County have been contacted by the Committee Chair, Hal Middleton, requesting that your community submit photos and stories of influential people from your region of Ray County.\u00a0 Thank you for participating and helping to provide a look into the importance of people to Ray County in 2020!<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n A Year in the Life of My Business<\/strong> <\/em>will be a collection of stories about local businesses, the times they endured and the impacts they made on Ray Countians’! We encourage EVERY business, EVERY civic organization, EVERY charity in Ray County to submit your story!<\/span> \u00a0<\/p>\n Bicentennial Penny Drive<\/strong> <\/em>will be held during the year, 2021 by Ray County students.\u00a0 The pennies collected will be donated to the Missouri State Historical Society for use to conserve precious documents in our state archives. There will be school and classroom competitions during the drive!\u00a0 Please support your elementary aged school children when they come home excited, talking about raising money for the state!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Missouri Pass Port<\/strong><\/em> Everyone is going to be looking for the Ray County stamp for their Missouri Passport in 2021!\u00a0 Get your official passport from the state of Missouri, look back here for places in each community to get yours stamped, and go for a Ray-cation!
