Austin Augustus King: A Legacy of Leadership in Ray County

Step back into Ray County history with the Ray County Historical Society as they present “Austin Augustus King: A Legacy of Leadership in Ray County” on Saturday, September 12, at 1 p.m.

The program will explore King’s early life and journey to Missouri, his years as a Ray County judge, his service as Missouri’s 10th governor from 1848–1853, and his lasting impact on education, transportation, state government, Richmond, and Ray County.

The program is free and open to the public at the Ray County Historical Society, 901 West Royal Street in Richmond.

Audience questions and discussion will be welcome, and donations to support the Ray County Historical Society and Ray County Genealogical Association are appreciated.
