Throughout the year the Richmond Chamber of Commerce hosts events that help our business members gather, share and network together. Albeit with Covid-19 we have not had the opportunity to come together like we have in the past.
That said whether it be ribbon cuttings, our award banquet, after hour events, donuts on the square, or one of the many seasonal events we try and help host, our local chamber has tried their best to pull us all together as much as possible.
In 2021, we were able to provide some much-needed camaraderie by hosting a few events that were fun and good for the soul, considering the situation we all have been in the last few years handling mandates and the pandemic, it was as successful as a year as we could hope for.
For instance, over the summer this year, The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce helped host the dueling pianos event held at Hometown Pizza in downtown Richmond. There we ate, networked, and sang to some incredibly talented piano masters and musicians together!
Another event that we had this year was our 2021 Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet. Here we were able to gather in the grandest wedding venue in Richmond, the Ridge Wedding & Event Center. Here we honored some much-deserved chamber members with appreciation awards. The list of those award winners follows:
• Ray County Community Arts Association = Beautification Award
• Carolyn Arney, Former Chamber Director = Star Award
• Derstler Lumber = Lifetime Achievement Award
• Leo & Kay Boutique = New Business of the Year Award
As we come to an end in 2021, we look forward to seeing more of you in 2022, promoting your businesses as best as possible and helping to provide more opportunity to mingle by creating more chances to get to know your fellow chamber members. Keep an eye on our Calendar for upcoming 2022 events.
