Local legislators recognized by Missouri Chamber for support of pro-business issues
The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recognized State Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carroll/Livingston/Linn and Ray Counties as a 2024 Business Champion. This recognition is given to state lawmakers who supported policies during the 2024 legislative session to grow our economy and make Missouri a more competitive place to do business.
The Business Champions list was created after an analysis of key votes on important business issues. To be included, state legislators needed to have at least a 70% record of siding with the Missouri Chamber on priority issues. This year, 24 members of the Missouri Senate and 103 members of the Missouri House of Representatives met that criteria.

“The Business Champion recognition is our way of thanking Representative McGaugh and Missouri’s other top pro-business lawmakers for their commitment to moving our state forward,” said Missouri Chamber Interim President and CEO Kara Corches. “During the 2024 legislative session, political chaos threatened to derail our state’s progress. We applaud the Business Champions who stood up against anti-business extremists and focused on practical governance – growing the economy, improving public safety and ensuring access to quality health care and hospitals.”
